Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars, are the last set of teeth to emerge, usually between the ages of 17 and 25. However, often there is not enough space for them to erupt in the correct position and they grow impacted or misaligned. Some wisdom may have no problem but some cause pain, swelling, or infection to the gums covering the wisdom tooth. In such cases, wisdom & impacted teeth extraction become necessary.

Wisdom & impacted teeth extraction is a surgical process in which a dentist or oral surgeon carefully removes the affected tooth. The procedure is generally quick and carefully performed under local or general anesthesia.  Most patients recover within a few days with proper care. After extraction, mild swelling and discomfort are normal, but they can be managed with prescribed medications and a soft diet. Patients are advised to follow aftercare instructions, such as avoiding smoking, using straws, or eating hard foods, to prevent complications like dry sockets.
